External Competitions 2023/24

The Club is intending to enter the following external competitions this year.  

summary of all images selected to represent the Club in the individual competitions will be available once selections have been made and a gallery of images that scored 12 and above will be available a few days after the judging has taken place.

The PAGB Cup (Nature)

The Photographic Alliance of Great Britain holds the The GB Cup (DPIs) in three categories but we will only be entering the Nature competition.  Judging takes place in January and is open to PAGB affiliated Clubs.

Kingswood Salver

The Kingswood Salver is a panel competition and entries are a panel of five 50cm x 40cm mounted prints by five different photographers.  The panel must have a theme that links the five images.  The competition is held annually at Bovey Tracey and is judged by a senior judge from outside the Federation.

WCPF Print

This Print Competition is held annually in August and is open to all clubs affiliated to the WCPF.  The Competition is judged by a panel of three judges and takes place in front of an audience, Club members are encouraged to attend and support the Club.  The winning club is awarded the Fotospeed Trophy and the top two clubs are invited to represent the WCPF at the PAGB Inter-Club Print Championship.

Digitally Projected Image Competition (DPIC)

DPIC is held annually in February each year at the Corn Exchange in Exeter.  Entries are judged by three judges from outside of the Federation, in front of an audience.  There are trophies for the top two clubs and for the best small club (with less than twenty five members).  The top two clubs are invited to represent the WCPF at the PAGB Inter-Club PDI Championship.
