Obtaining Distinction Points
The PAGB decided to introduce a distinction system to allow members of Camera Clubs to attain merits within Amateur photography exhibition and clubs.
The position of "CREDIT" is to be for photography of "good club quality", "DISTINCTION" for "open exhibition standard" and "MASTER" for photography of the "highest standard of amateur photography".
A commitment for supporting the federation was important to the PAGB and a points system was worked out within each federation.
The requirement for the WCPF is that support for the federation must be 2 years for "C", plus 20 points, 3 years for "D" plus 30 points, (10 if CPAGB is already held) and 5 years for "M" plus 50 points.
The entrance fee for the 3 levels are £50, £60, and £65 respectively.
These points are attainable by entering federation competitions. To gain the "M" you must have held the "D" for 11 months.
Adjudication to be held in April and November each year providing a minimum entry of 30 entrants are submitted, with a maximum of 650 pieces of work to be shown each day.
Prints to be a maximum of 400 X 500mm and slides to be 50 X 50mm, large format slides can be used by prior arrangement.
