The Mid Somerset Camera Club began life years ago when a few people working at Clarks got together so that they could purchase bulk film. They formed the Street Camera Club.
After meetings held at first in the Scout Hut, then the Street Library and finally The Street Inn, the club moved to the Constitutional Club in Glastonbury. Here the name was changed to `The Street and Glastonbury Camera Club'.
At a later date, the increase in membership enabled the club to expand its horizons and with this, its name became 'The Mid Somerset Camera Club'.
Following several years at The Mitre, we are now enjoying the facilities at Tor Leisure, Street Road, Glastonbury, BA6 9EF, where there is ample space and easy disabled access.
The club is affiliated to the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain, through the Western Counties Photographic Federation.
